Homemade Applesauce<\/h1>

Our family has been farming here since 1815 and has grown produce for over 90 years.\u00a0 Apples are our signature crop. We grow over 30 varieties. You can say apples are our specialty!!<\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/h4>\n

5 lbs\u00a0 peeled, cored, and sliced<\/p>\n

1 cup water<\/p>\n

3-4 Tbsp Lemon Juice<\/p>\n

1 cinnamon stick<\/p>\n

1\/4 cup brown sugar<\/p>\n

1\/4 cup white sugar<\/p>\n

Put all ingredients into large covered pot and bring to boil.\u00a0 Lower heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Remove from heat.\u00a0 Remove cinnamon sticks. Mash with a potato masher or put through a food mill.<\/p>\n

*Serve either warm or cold.<\/p>\n

*Try applesauce over ice cream or mixed w\/yogurt<\/p>\n

*Mix in fresh fruit<\/p>\n
